Veteran’s Day Live Music in Wellington!

There’s Live Music all over on this Veteran’s Day weekend, and it’s no different in the Wellington area!  For starters, on Friday night check out Shovel Head at Connolly’s on Belvedere Road in Royal Palm.  SATURDAY morning you can hear Karen House at the Wellington Green Market, and then your choice of Tribute bands in the evening with Thunderjack (AC/DC) at the Wellington Amphitheater, or Roll the Stones (Rolling Stones) at Suri West!

If you miss Karen, you have another chance to hear her at the Royal Palm Beach Green Market Sunday morning!

Tribute Bands!

Palm Beach County must be the Tribute Band Capital – maybe because the Boomers and Snowbirds love them?  It all started with Elvis impersonators in the mid 50’s, but now they’re all over the place.  This weekend is no exception with Chain Reaction, a tribute to Journey playing at Suri West in Wellington.  Net week they’s have Roll the Stones – a Rolling Stones tribute, the Wellington Amphitheatre will have Thunderjack, an AC/DC tribute band playing, and George Orr and the Hot Rod Band – a Rod Stewart look-and-sound alike will be back at Benny’s on the Beach in Lake Worth.  Go check them out!

Turkey Day!

Looking for Live Music on Turkey Day?  It’s slim pickins in Central PB County, but if you’re feeling stuffed and ready to get out of the house there’s a few places to go.  Jerry Leeman and Big Medicine are scheduled at Copper Blues in City Place 8 PM, and since you won’t be able to attend Friday’s SOLD OUT “Last Waltz” show at Boston’s this is the next best thing!  Just down the walkway Mojito’s will be also be open with their usual Latin Dance band.  On Clematis Street you’ll probably be able to catch Reginald Ellison and his jazz sax at the C Street Cafe.  Piper’s in Greenacres will be open, too, with Southeast entertaining.

Wellington?  Forget it.  Lake Worth?  All we know about is Chris Coleman from LFTD LVLS playing an acoustic set around 10:30.  Lantana?  Lantana Jack’s will open around dinnertime and should have their regular Karaoke later on.
